Liebster Award!

Firstly, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR 100 FOLLOWERS! I can’t believe 100 people actually like my blog hehe. Thank you so much everybody, from the bottom of my heart.  But wait – there’s even more good news! I’m absolutely overjoyed and humbled to say that I have been nominated for “The Liebster Award” by my fellow blogger friend MagnumOpus. I’m so darn happy! It’s been just over 2 weeks since I relaunched my blog and now I’ve got my first ever blog award! Thank you so much for nominating me Magnum! I highly recommend everyone to check her blog out because she is honestly one of the most optimistic and inspirational bloggers out there. I am truly honored to receive this recognition as a new blogger. I would also like to thank all my blogger friends and everyone who has shown their support and love for my blog. It is because of this extremely supportive nature of the blogging community that I feel inspired to blog about my work and what I stand for.

And now time to answer the questions MagnumOpus has asked me to answer:

Q1. What was your dream as a child and did you achieve it?

Haha so I’m a big dreamer and I’ve had many good dreams, some that came true and some that were a little impossible (I was heartbroken when I discovered that Santa wasn’t real!) But there is this pretty weird and amusing desire I had. I really wanted to get glasses. For some absurd reason, I have always been obsessed with glasses (till this date!) and my perfectly good vision never allowed me to have spectacles of any kind. I even remember spending years of my childhood reading in the worst lighting and never eating carrots. Unfortunately, I still possess my perfectly normal vision…

Q2.  If you were given 3 wishes, what would you ask for?

I’ll be real honest and simple here – 1. I wish I had a superpower, maybe something mainstream like the ability to fly, or the ability to heal people. 2. I wish I had a dog! 3. Finally, I wish I get into my dream colleges and I’m able to become a really good doctor in the future and make a difference in this world.

Q3. What inspired you to start a blog?

I’m a huge bookworm and I’m an avid reader however I never really tried writing anything. Being very actively involved in community service, I really wanted to talk about the work I do and address some social issues. I decided to give blogging a shot and I gradually discovered that blogging allowed me to talk about something I’m passionate about while also improving my style of writing.

Q4. What is your biggest fear and what are you going to do to overcome it?

Oooh deep question… My biggest fear would honestly be the fear that my dreams may never come true. But my optimistic self pushes me to work hard and turn those dreams into a reality.

Q5. What is that 1 book that changed your life?

Oh man, this one’s hard since there are so many books that have touched my heart. One of my all time favorite books is All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr. If you love reading, read this one. It is a beautiful novel that leaves you numb. (PS. I’m also a big Jane Austen fan)

Q6. Who is your favorite blogger in the WordPress community?

Okay this one I honestly have no answers for haha, my apologies, but I love several bloggers who blog about a vast variety of things. I love all you WordPress bloggers that make this community so wonderful!

Q7. Which is your favorite fictional character and why is it your favorite?

So normally I could answer this question with any of the hundreds of amazing characters I have come across. The answer might be surprising but I’d have to say Winnie the Pooh. Yes, the one from the children’s books. Winnie the Pooh has been the one character I have loved and been attached to since a baby. Pooh is a character who’s amiable, optimistic and loves to love. He is happy and cheerful yet he is also thoughtful and goofy. So while it may sound funny I definitely relate with the big yellow stuffed bear the world loves.

Q8. Which superhero would you like to get, if you could have a superpower?

No hesitation here, I would kill to have super speed like The Flash.

Q9. Which pet do you like more – cat or dog? What about them do you like the most?

I have always been a dog person. I love cats too but I love dogs more. I love playing with dogs and I think their friendly companionship and lovable nature gives me the ability to bond with dogs better.

Q10. If you could have a talk with any person dead or alive, who would that be and why?

Hmm interesting question… I think I’d like to sit down for a chat with Damien Chazelle. I would like to thank him for making my favorite movie of all time – La La Land. It is a movie that touched my soul and heart.

Q11. If you could have a day celebrated on your birthday, what day would that be and why?

CHRISTMAS. No doubts there. Christmas is hands down one of my favorite festivals. What’s there not to like? It’s in winter, there’s baked Christmas delicacies, the Christmas tree, the gifts, hanging out with friends and most of all the spirit of giving and loving.
